Reigning Primera División champion River Plate has officially unveiled its new adidas home kit for the 2023-24 season. The striking jersey is a nod to the club's iconic 'Sash of the Rivers' design and comes with a special commemorative box that mimics the sash.
The new home kit features a classic white base with the iconic red sash running across the chest. The sash is a symbol of the club's roots in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of La Boca, which is known for its colorful streets lined with corrugated metal houses painted in bright colors. The jersey also features a subtle nod to the club's past, with a small patch on the back of the collar displaying the year of its foundation, 1901.
Additionally, adidas has also released the River Plate 23-24 pre-match shirt, which is inspired by designs from the late 90s and 2000s. The pre-match shirt is navy blue with a red and white geometric pattern on the front, reminiscent of the popular kits worn by the club during that era.
Both the home and pre-match shirts come in special packaging that mimics the iconic 'Sash of the Rivers' design. The unique packaging adds an extra touch of nostalgia and makes the kits a must-have for River Plate fans.
