Early Life and Prodigy

Stevland Hardaway Morris, known professionally as Stevie Wonder, was born on May 13, 1950, in Saginaw, Michigan. A child prodigy, Wonder lost his sight at the age of three due to retinopathy of prematurity.

Musical Career and Success

Wonder's musical talent was evident from a young age. He began playing the piano at the age of four and quickly mastered several other instruments. In 1961, he signed with Motown Records and released his first hit single, "Fingertips, Pt. 2."

Throughout his career, Wonder has produced numerous groundbreaking albums and hit songs, including "Superstition," "Sir Duke," "You Are the Sunshine of My Life," and "I Just Called to Say I Love You." His music has garnered him multiple Grammy Awards, including 25 competitive awards and an Academy Award for Best Original Song for "I Just Called to Say I Love You."
